Meet Randy Badura!

Director of Operations

This month, we are excited to spotlight Randy Badura, our dedicated Director of Operations. Randy has been an invaluable member of the K&H team for the past two and a half years. With his exceptional leadership, Randy leads the daily operations to foster a positive and efficient work environment. His leadership ensures that our employees thrive, consistently meeting and exceeding our goals to provide an outstanding experience for our clients.

Q:

How long have you been with K&H?

A:

I’ve been with the K&H for 2 and a half years.

Q:

What does your job entail?

A:

I lead the daily operations for K&H Landscape. My job is to ensure a positive, efficient work environment so that our employees thrive in meeting our goals to provide an excellent experience for our clients.

Q:

What inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

A:

I have family members that work for K&H who inspired me to join the team.

Q:

Can you share a bit about your background and journey that led you to your current position?

A:

I served thirty-one years in law enforcement in Virginia. I started as a dispatcher and rose to the level of Lt. Colonel. I gained a tremendous amount of experience in logistics, planning and leadership. After retiring I was looking to explore fields not associated with law enforcement. I went to work for a friend in the Office furniture Installation business which was very rewarding, but it involved a lot of labor and long hours. Having family at K&H and a decades-old relationship with the Hjort Family, I jumped at an opportunity to join K&H as a purchaser. I quickly came to love the environment and felt I had a lot I could contribute to K&H. I was recently promoted to Director of Operations, and I am excited for this journey through our commitment to excellence!

Q:

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?

A:

Your legacy will involve your character not so much your accomplishments. Maintain a high level of integrity, loyalty and respect and you will thrive in whatever you choose to do in life.

Q:

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

A:

Both my wife and I come from large families, and we have created our own, having five grown children and six grandchildren. I like to travel, cook, and spend time with family.

What’s one thing no one would know about you?

A:

I have personally met four past United States Presidents.

Q:

What’s one thing on your outdoor living space bucket list?

A:

Outdoor kitchen with a bar, sitting area with fireplace.
